Russia has solved almost all the tasks in Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters at a press conference following the BRICS summit.
"As for the interests of Russia, they were to save Russia from infiltration of a large number of trained fighters into the territory of the Russian Federation. In this sense, it is impossible to say that we have solved 100% of the problems, but in general, yes, we did. We have fulfilled the task that we set ourselves, starting the operation in Syria," he said, in particular.
The threat of infiltration of militants from Syria, according to the Russian leader, exists for all countries, including Europe.
"Everyone is in danger, so we need to join forces," Vladimir Putin stressed.
