Vladimir Putin to inform Bashar al-Assad about talks with Erdogan

Russian President Vladimir Putin will inform his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad about the results of talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS.


The talks between the Presidents of Russia and Turkey, the main topic of which was the situation in the Syrian Idlib, were held in Moscow and lasted about six hours.


The two leaders signed a Memorandum according to which the ceasefire will come into force on March 6. In addition, a 12-kilometer security corridor will be created in Idlib near the M-4 highway, and joint patrols will begin on March 15.
