Vladimir Putin will take part in the EurAsEC summit in Nur-Sultan

Today Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to Kazakhstan, where a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held.

 

 


According to the Kremlin press service, the main events of the summit will be held in Nur-Sultan on Wednesday, but the Russian political leader will fly there today.

 

 


"The members of the High Council will sum up the work over the five-year period and outline tasks for expanding cooperation in various areas - in trade, economics, industry, finance, and social policy", the Kremlin’s press service reported.

 

 


The Heads of the EurAsEC member states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) will take part in the meeting, as well as the President of Moldova Igor Dodon and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon are invited to attend.

 

 


Following the summit, it is planned to sign a joint statement by the Heads of state-participants of the union.

 

 


In addition, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, several international treaties will be offered for signing.
