State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin believes that the United States could learn from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in the organization of elections.

In an interview with Russia-24 TV channel, Volodin recalled that State Duma deputies were observers at the recent parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan and the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan. "According to the results, they all noted that the elections were in accordance with the national legislation of these countries, they were competitive, open. In this regard, the United States could learn from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan," he said.

"In the countries that today elect authorities, deputies, presidents, in the countries that left the Soviet Union, in the countries that are members of the [Collective Security Treaty] Organization and in the CIS, the standards are so high that the United States could learn with their archaic system, with their closed election system, where there is not a single international observer," Volodin convinced.

In particular, he drew attention to the fact that parliamentarians from other countries are not allowed as observers in the US elections.
