State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran. The main topic of discussion was the development of Russian-Iranian relations.
"Head of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin met with President of Iran Hassan Rouhani. Vyacheslav Volodin conveyed the greeting words and the warmest wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin", the press service of the State Duma noted in particular.
Volodin also told Rouhani about the results of the meeting of the Russian-Iranian Inter-Parliamentary Commission.
"The parties also discussed the development of relations between the two countries", the press service added.
The day before, Volodin held a meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission of Russia and Iran in Tehran, and also met with his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.
