Woman Killed After UAV Attack on Saratov to Be Buried According to Muslim Customs

A resident of Saratov who died following an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attack on the region will be buried according to Muslim customs, as reported by Rustam-Khazrat Mukhitov, Imam of the Saratov Cathedral Mosque, to TASS.

 

Gulnara Temralieva, who was injured in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' drone attack on the Saratov region on August 26, succumbed to her injuries and passed away in the hospital overnight.

 

"Gulnara will be buried in accordance with Muslim customs after a forensic medical examination. The funeral will take place in Kalininsk, where a farewell ceremony and specific rites will be observed. We extend our condolences and sincere support to the family of the deceased," said Mukhitov, who is currently in the special military operation zone providing humanitarian aid.

 

The funeral is scheduled for September 5.

 

According to a source from the agency, Gulnara's relatives reached out to the Muslim clergy while she was still in intensive care, requesting prayers for her recovery during Friday services.

 

On the morning of August 26, air defense forces intercepted several UAVs in the Saratov region. Debris from the drones struck the 38-story Volga Sky residential complex in the center of Saratov and the roof of a 25-story building on Pushkin Street in Engels. Additionally, four private homes in the village of Pribrezhny in the Engels district were damaged. Four people were injured in the attack, with one woman being hospitalized in critical condition. She passed away a week later in the hospital.
