Working group to monitor the situation with coronavirus was created in CIS

27 March 2020

The Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States has established a special working group to monitor the situation related to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

"Currently, the most pressing issue on the international, regional and national agenda is the topic of minimizing the risks of spreading COVID-19 coronavirus infection. However, information about measures taken in the CIS member states to combat the spread of coronavirus infection is not always available to citizens. This causes certain difficulties when they are located on the territories of other states, there is no single center for obtaining information within the Commonwealth of Independent States", the order of the Chairman of the Executive Committee-Executive Secretary of the CIS Sergey Lebedev reads.

The website of the CIS Executive Committee, as noted, has a special section "Fighting coronavirus in the CIS", which will reflect the legal acts of the CIS member states related to the situation related to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, as well as news information on practical measures taken in the CIS member states to combat the pandemic.
