Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova advised US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland to pay attention to the Palestinian problem.
The diplomat thus commented in her Telegram channel on Friday on Nuland's promise to give Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a Nobel Prize if he could "steer Russian President Vladimir Putin away from Ukraine."
"Victoria, better for the resolution of the Middle East conflict and the full existence of the state of Palestine. Or is that completely unrealistic?" wrote the Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman. "By the way, I did not know that it is Nuland who makes decisions for the Nobel Committee," Zakharova added.
