Zakharova pointed out that Moscow attaches great importance to the Russia-Azerbaijan-Iran format. "It has already established itself as an effective platform for interaction with an emphasis on the practical implementation of joint projects in economy, transport and energy," she continued. - "We expect that trilateral cooperation will continue to make a significant contribution to strengthening mutually beneficial ties between our countries and the creation of much-needed in modern conditions sustainable transport infrastructure, including the international transport corridor North-South."

The diplomat noted that "this is important both in terms of further increasing the turnover of the 'troika' and ensuring uninterrupted transit traffic in the interests of the three states."
