The US shouldn't interfere in the internal affairs of other states, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said the YouTube channel "Solovyov LIVE".
"There is no need to interfere in the internal affairs of other states - this is one. Each state has the right to its own internal, foreign, economic, cultural and humanitarian policies - this is two. Third, if you intervene, will be at the same place," she said, commenting on statements of the head of the press service of the Department of State Morgan Ortagus about U.S. concerns certain reports of violations during the voting on amendments to the Constitution.
Zakharova stressed that the US needed to deal with its internal problems. "We are not talking about the external circuit in principle. Internal problems, like a pipe, there are calling. Deal with them," she continued. "The whole world is waiting. Now is the time to strain. < ... > Strain and still overcome the deepest internal division in the United States of America."
"Let them live like they want to. Only within their own state, within their own borders. If they like to live like this, let them live like this. This is their business, this is their country. This is the people of the United States of America who appreciate what is happening there. When and if they do make a comment to others, and in the context of what public rhetoric they have chosen over the past 10-15 years, these are, of course, not remarks, but lectures, moralizing or shouting, then it seems to me that it is time to deal with their own internal problems," the diplomat concluded.
Earlier, Ortagus said that the United States was concerned about reports of possible violations in the vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

The all-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation was held from June 25 to July 1, the last day was the main. The vote within a few days was organized to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. In order for the amendments to take effect, they must be supported by more than half of the voters, and the turnout threshold is not set. According to the CEC data, after processing 100% of the protocols, the amendments to the Constitution were supported by 77.92% of those the voters, 21.27% voted against, and the final turnout in the country was 67.97%.
On Thursday, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin considered the results of the vote on amendments to the Constitution a triumph. Speaking about the plan to implement the changes that the Russians voted for, he noted that "this is a question of the future of the country, the immediate future of the country." According to experts, the vote was held without serious violations, extremely transparent and legitimate. According to the Chairman of the CEC of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova, there were no complaints about violations that would require consideration at a meeting of the Central Election Commission.
