Kyrgyzstan and Russia are strengthening their mutual cooperation across all sectors and are successfully interacting in every field, stated Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov during a meeting in Bishkek with Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Bishkek.
"President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov today, June 14, received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan Nikolai Udovichenko on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic mission. The head of state noted that Kyrgyzstan and Russia actively cooperate in virtually all areas," the press service of the Kyrgyz leader reported.
According to Zhaparov, Udovichenko's tenure in the republic coincided with "important historical changes" and significant development in bilateral relations in the political, economic, and cultural spheres. The president highlighted that "significant results" have been achieved in some areas of cooperation.
"The president emphasized that the result of active cooperation between the two countries in the field of education includes the construction of nine schools across the republic, the beginning of the reformatting process of the Kyrgyz-Russian (Slavic) University, the opening of an MSU branch in Karakol, and the successful implementation of the 'Russian Teacher Abroad' program," noted the press service.
Zhaparov also assured that similar successes have been noted in trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and military-technical cooperation between the two countries. "At the end of the meeting, the president awarded Udovichenko with the Honorary Certificate of the Kyrgyz Republic for his significant contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia," reported the press service.
