The Russian airline Aeroflot resumed regular flights to Bishkek on Tuesday. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Manas International Airport joint-stock company.
"Since March 22, 2022, morning flights by Aeroflot airlines from Moscow to Bishkek to Moscow have been resumed", said the representative of the press service of the joint-stock company which includes all major Kyrgyz airports.
According to her, Aeroflot now flies from Moscow to Bishkek "twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon".
It was previously planned that regular Aeroflot flights from Moscow to Bishkek would start on March 14, but the flights were resumed only on March 22.
Regular passenger flights between Russia and Kyrgyzstan were suspended in the spring of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, since the summer of the same year, the number of charter flights from Russia to Kyrgyzstan and in the opposite direction has been significantly increased.
