The subjects, members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), plan to develop business cooperation with enterprises of Uzbekistan, the press service of the AIRR reported TASS.
"According to the results of this year, it can be noted that our regions are interested in developing cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan," the press service said.
It is explained that following a business mission organized in November for AIRR member regions, certain agreements were reached on the development of relations with Uzbekistan's largest textile industry association Uztekstilprom. In addition, if the interest remains, the AIRR will be ready to expand cooperation.
In November, the press service of the AIRR reported that representatives of the association visited Uzbekistan, where they met with representatives of the Ministry of Innovation Development of the country. There are plans to create roadmaps for work in some areas. In particular, the sides stressed the potential for cooperation between the Association of Light Industry of Uzbekistan and the Novosibirsk Center of Innovative Technologies and Development, whose projects will be in demand of companies in Uzbekistan.
As it was noted in the press-service, the AIRR regularly holds events for exchange of experience in sphere of innovations and development of relations with friendly countries. Regions-members of the association organize events, including events with participants from near and far abroad countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, China and other countries friendly to Russia. Regions that are members of the AIRR also develop direct contacts with representatives of international companies and associations.
The Association of Innovative Regions of Russia is a non-profit organization aimed at promoting effective interaction of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in matters of economic development through integration and use of scientific, scientific, technological and innovative development results. Currently, the association unites 18 regions that are the strongest in terms of innovation.
