Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov had telephone conversations with Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organisation Executive Committee and member of the Fatah Central Committee Saeb Erekat and member of the PLO Executive Committee and Secretary-General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) Ahmed Majdalani. The main topic of discussion, as reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, was the Palestinian-Israeli settlement.
"They discussed settling the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on the established international legal foundation with the assistance of the Quartet of international mediators, as well as restoring Palestinian national unity on the PLO political platform," the message reads.
