The Russian government has expanded a pilot project to attract labor force from Uzbekistan, and now it applies not only to the construction industry, but also to agriculture. This follows from the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers published on Wednesday.
The previous version of the document decreed "to implement a pilot project to attract the citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan for temporary employment in the Russian legal entities engaged in economic activities in the construction". According to the new decree, the initiative will be extended to companies "in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex.
The maximum number of citizens of Uzbekistan involved in the pilot project was also increased. Previously, it was 10 thousand people. Now, this quota is preserved for the construction industry, and for work in the agricultural sector an additional 1,108 people can be attracted.
