Cairo will begin negotiations with Moscow to launch production of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Egypt after all clinical trials have been completed, the Ministry of Health and Population of the Arab Republic told TASS.
"We are monitoring the results of the third stage of clinical trials of the Russian vaccine," the source said. - We study and analyze available data and reports on the vaccine. After this study is completed, direct negotiations will begin with Russia on the production of the vaccine in Egypt." The Ministry clarified that no negotiations were currently underway. "We must first examine all reports and data on the results of the third phase in terms of their compliance with the health safety standards adopted in Egypt," the source added.
