Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu held talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Phnom Penh on Wednesday, during which they discussed the implementation of grain agreements, the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and bilateral issues, he told reporters following the meeting. The TRT broadcasted the news.
"We considered the issues of safe grain supplies from Ukraine. The agenda included the elimination of obstacles to the export of products of the two countries (Ukraine and Russia - TASS). Our expectations for a ceasefire in Ukraine as soon as possible were also expressed. We will continue our efforts to ensure peace in the region," the Turkish minister said.
According to him, they also considered issues of bilateral relations in connection with the upcoming meeting in Sochi between the presidents of Turkey and Russia Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin on August 5.
