Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said he intends to discuss with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov at talks in Sochi preparations for a meeting between the leaders of the two countries Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdogan, which could take place next year in Turkey.
"The close dialogue between our presidents, the mutual trust in relations between them serves to develop not only bilateral but also regional relations. Today we will make preparations for a summit meeting of our presidents next year in Turkey," he said at a meeting of the Joint strategic planning group of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Cavusoglu stressed that Ankara is satisfied with the close dialogue with Moscow and the active work of departments to support it. "Of course, the expansion of our relations in trade, culture, tourism and energy brings us great satisfaction," the Turkish minister added.
