Religious organizations should inculcate patriotism and respect for other nationalities in Russia in social networks, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council (RMC) Farit Farisov said, according to a statement on the RMC website.
Farit Farisov, Deputy Chairman of the RMC and head of the Moscow Tatar Autonomy, made a presentation at the IV All-Russian scientific and practical online conference "Gasprin readings".
"The task of religious and public organizations is to reach a new level of work with young people, including in social networks, to pay attention to overcoming anti-patriotic sentiments and generate, first of all, content based on competent information that can strengthen the unity of the peoples of multi-ethnic Russia," Farisov is quoted as saying in the RMC.
In his opinion, today " there are growing generations who do not have an image of future Russia, the image of their people, as there is no ideology on the basis of which it could be formed."
