CSTO exercises in Kazakhstan to be held September 26 - October 8

Exercises with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Rapid Reaction Forces will be held in the territory of Kazakhstan from September 26 to October 8. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the republic's defense ministry.


"From September 26 to October 8, 2022, exercises with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces "Interaction-2022", "Search-2022", "Echelon-2022" will be held in Zhambyl and Almaty regions. In this regard, troop contingents of the CSTO member states will arrive in our country from September 22 to 30," reads the statement.


The agency noted that the contingent's movement will be carried out by various means - by rail and air transport and on wheeled military vehicles.


"During the movement of military contingents the issues of curfew service, air defense and all-round support will be worked out," the press service of Kazakhstan's defense ministry explained.


The CSTO includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
