In Moscow, a meeting was held of the Special Representative of the President of Russia for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Bogdanov with the Minister of Telecommunications, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Lebanese Republic Mohamed Choucair and Chairman of the Lebanese-Russian Business Council Jacques-Jean Sarraf, who are in Moscow to participate in the XIIth session of the Russian-Arab Business Council.
In Moscow, the Lebanon’s Ambassador Shawki Bou Nassar took part in the course of the conversation, in which, the sides discussed a number of issues concerning the further development of Russian-Lebanese multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the situation for the Middle East, including the settlement in Syria. It is noted the necessity to create conditions for the early returning of more than a million Syrian refugees trapped in Lebanese territory.
