Head of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Nikolai Podguzov expects that Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and other countries will eventually join the bank. He told reporters on the sidelines of the conference of investors - participants of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP).
"I would love to see Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan among the participants of the bank. I hope these countries will also join the bank in due course," he said.
Podguzov also reported that the EDB and Uzbekistan continue active negotiations on accession of the republic to the development institution. "Indeed, we are communicating with Uzbekistan, and many positions have become closer. So far, it is probably one of the most realistic candidates to join the bank," Podguzov said on the sidelines of the ADFIAP conference.
