The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is working on enhancing cooperation with the SCO and BRICS, as well as holding a joint summit, Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich said in the EEC Telegram-channel.
"We in the EEC have started working out the initiative of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on intensifying the cooperation between the EEU, the SCO and BRICS and holding a summit," said Myasnikovich.
Also, the work with the SCO to finalize a joint plan of activities is in progress. The EEC added that when preparing a draft program for the Eurasian Economic Forum, scheduled for May 24-25, 2023, the commission initiated a separate session on the cooperation of the EEU and the SCO.
Myasnikovich also noted that the participation of the Republic of South Africa as this year's BRICS chair in the forum was feasible.
