04 April

According to Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya, Egyptian medical professionals have treated more than 3,700 injured Palestinians evacuated from the Gaza Strip since the escalation of hostilities between Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas.

Since October 2023, Egyptian hospitals have admitted 3,706 injured Palestinians, along with 6,071 accompanying individuals. Alongside providing medical assistance, Egypt has consistently supplied the enclave with aid. Reports indicate that 87% of all humanitarian aid reaching Gaza originated from Egyptian authorities and various civil society organizations. Notably, Cairo has delivered nearly 130,000 tons of food, 26,300 tons of water, and nearly 11,000 tons of medicines to the region.

Since February 27, the Egyptian Air Force, alongside Jordan, Qatar, the UAE, the USA, and France, has conducted daily drops of humanitarian supplies to Gaza. Additionally, aid is regularly transported to the Gaza Strip from Egypt via the Rafah crossing. Cairo has emphasized its commitment to keeping the crossing open every day since the conflict's onset between Israel and Hamas.
