“Eid al-Adha is a time for spiritual redemption”. Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Muslims on the holiday

11 August 2019

Dear Muslims of the Tatarstan Republic!

Dear compatriots!

I cordially congratulate you on the blessed feast of sacrifice Eid al-Adha!

This long-awaited day, filled with righteous jubilation, is the culmination of the great pilgrimage of Muslims from all over the world to sacred Mecca, where believers offer the Almighty endless prayers for the way to perfection, repentance and salvation, which was given to Prophet Ibrahim and all the faithful.

Eid al-Adha is a time for spiritual redemption, brotherhood and good deeds. Many of us follow the path of life with sincere faith in Allah, trying to change the world around us to the better and make it more humane and just.

“So be you forward in good works”, the Holy Quran says. Following this everlasting truth, Muslims purify their souls with the help of inspired work, merciful deeds, sensitive care for the weak and poor.

In the Tatarstan Republic, which is a common home for representatives of many nationalities and faiths, Eid al-Adha is one of the most revered and widely celebrated holidays. Due to joint efforts, aimed at strengthening traditional values, we create conditions for the full development of personality.

The noble aspirations and godly deeds of Muslims in the Tatarstan Republic fully correspond to the dynamic, creative rhythm, in which our entire multinational republic lives today.

May the present Eid al-Adha be more majestic, generous and happy! I wish everybody peace, kindness and the Almighty’s help in all your good deeds! Happy holiday, dear Tatarstan citizens!

The President of the Tatarstan Republic R.N. Minnikhanov
