The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on Thursday, during which he pointed out the importance for all parties to the conflict in that country to show restraint. The Qatar News Agency reported this, citing the office of the emirate's head.
"This morning His Highness Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from the president of Ukraine, Mr. Vladimir Zelensky. The Ukrainian leader informed the emir of the recent events on Ukrainian territory. In this regard, His Highness urged all parties to show restraint and resolve disputes through constructive dialogue and diplomatic methods, and <...> not to do anything that would lead to further escalation," the text stressed.
