There are good prospects for the development of mutually beneficial contacts of the EurAsEC with countries and integration associations of the African continent. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin highlighted it, speaking today in Nur-Sultan at the expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
Russian President pointed out that the Russia-Africa summit will be held in Sochi on October 24th, 2019 and invited the Heads of the EurAsEC member countries to take part in the event.
According to Putin, a memorandum of cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission and the African Union is now in the preparation round.
“This document could be signed on the margins of the Sochi summit. If, of course, the commission is ready for it, and colleagues will support all of this”, Vladimir Putin affirmed.
