The Karavan Expo exhibition of goods and services produced in Kyrgyzstan has opened in the building of Moscow government on Novy Arbat. This was reported on Friday by the foreign ministry of Kyrgyzstan.
"Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation Gulnara-Klara Samat took part in the opening ceremony of the Karavan Expo exhibition of Kyrgyz producers and services in Moscow," the statement reads.
According to the MFA of the republic, during the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the ambassador stated that Russia is a strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan and noted "the positive dynamics of the relationship between the two countries." In particular, according to her data, in the first half of this year, trade turnover between the two countries increased by 35% compared to the same period of 2021.
"About 40 companies from Kyrgyzstan, representing mainly the garment and textile industry, are represented at Karavan Expo," said in the ministry.
Karavan Expo was organized with the assistance of Expo Development company, Tabarman business platform, All-Russian Kyrgyz Congress, the representative office of the Chamber of Commerce of the republic in Moscow and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia. It will last until November 19.
