This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the GSV Farit Mukhametshin on the eve at opening the international video conference " At the origins of modern diplomatic relations with the Islamic world: the life and fate of Karimov Khakimov and Nazir Torekulov."
"I would like to focus on the book authored by Oleg Ozerov, the Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation for special assignments, which he dedicated to the Soviet diplomat Karim Khakimov. The book is interesting because it is written in a special genre, " Mukhametshin said.
According to him, the book contains the results of scientific research, literature, and journalism. It is interesting because it clearly shows not only the personality of Khakimov, but also the author's view of the past of Russia. The book will be published in June this year. "We plan to organize its presentation, as well as to hold an online conference with the participation of young diplomats from the CIS countries," the Deputy Chairman of the GSV concluded.
Karim Khakimov is a Soviet diplomat, the first Plenipotentiary representative of Soviet Russia in the Arab countries, who made a significant contribution to the establishment of good relations between the young Soviet Republic and the Arab-Persian world.
