Federation Council anticipates enhanced relations with Tashkent following Mirziyoyev's re-election

The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is optimistic about the prospects of expanding strategic partnership and alliance with Uzbekistan after Shavkat Mirziyoyev's successful re-election as President. In a congratulatory telegram addressed to the head of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko expressed the Council's hope for further deepening bilateral ties.

 

Matviyenko's message conveyed gratitude for President Mirziyoyev's consistent attention to inter-parliamentary cooperation, which has been greatly appreciated by legislators. "Your resounding victory in the election not only demonstrated the people's immense trust and unity but also recognized Your significant contributions to Uzbekistan's comprehensive development and increased influence in Central Asia and the global arena," she emphasized.

 

 

Matviyenko expressed her firm belief that under President Mirziyoyev's wise leadership, "the country would achieve new remarkable successes across all sectors."

 

The chairwoman extended her heartfelt wishes for President Mirziyoyev's good health and further accomplishments in fortifying the prosperous republic.

 

Uzbekistan recently held early presidential elections, with preliminary data indicating that Mirziyoyev secured his position as the elected president in accordance with the law by receiving 87.05% of the votes, solidifying his mandate.
