Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, at the latter's request.
The two foreign Ministers discussed a number of topical issues on the Russian-Qatari agenda in the light of the agreements reached earlier during the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
"There was an exchange of views on the issues of promoting a settlement in Afghanistan and Syria", - the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry reads in particular.
