Omani authorities urged foreign tourists to leave the country due to the world's coronavirus pandemic. The Ministry of Tourism has asked travel companies and hotels to advise their clients to leave the Sultanate of Oman and return to their home countries, given the extraordinary conditions that the world is experiencing due to the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier, the Ministry of Transport of Oman announced the suspension of all public transport and taxis in the country.
In Oman, 39 cases of coronavirus have been recorded, 37 of them - from foreign trips; 13 patients recovered.
According to the latest data, more than 200 thousand people in about 160 countries are infected with coronavirus, and more than 8 thousand people died.
