Russia is closely monitoring the fire situation in Turkey and is in constant contact with the country's authorities, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told reporters on Friday.
"We are closely monitoring the situation. The Russian Federation, you know, has provided assistance to the Turkish authorities to help them deal with this trouble. Our equipment is working there, including Be-200 aircraft," he said. - "We are in constant contact with the Turkish authorities".
"We assume that the Turkish side has enough resources to ensure the interests and safety of Russian citizens," Grushko added. - "Of course, we would not like to find ourselves in a situation when we have to take anti-crisis decisions, but of course if an urgent need arises, everything possible will be done from our side to ensure the safety of our citizens".
According to the diplomat, the Russian side receives information about the situation not only through the embassy, but also through the consular representatives of the Russian Federation in Turkey. "So far they assume that the situation is under control, and they give high marks to the interaction with the local authorities," Grushko noted.
