Head of Armenian Defense Ministry stressed efficiency of Russian peacekeeping mission in Karabakh

Armenian Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutiunyan spoke to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin on Monday and stressed the effectiveness of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh, the press service of the republic's defense ministry reported.

 

"The Armenian Defense Minister particularly emphasized the role and efforts of the Russian Federation aimed at stabilizing the military and political situation in the region in the framework of the implementation of the statement signed <...> between Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan. He also underlined the effectiveness of the Russian Federation's peacekeeping mission in Artsakh (unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic - ed. TASS )," the report says.

 

The parties also highly appreciated the activity of the Russian Interdepartmental Humanitarian Center established in Nagorno-Karabakh for the return of refugees, restoration of civil infrastructure, search for dead, prisoners and missing persons.
