Pakistan's long-standing cooperation with China is focused on the well-being of the peoples of both countries. This was stated by Pakistan's Minister of Defense, Khawaja Asif, during a meeting with Li Qiaoming, the Commander of the Ground Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, according to a report by the state broadcasting corporation Radio Pakistan on Monday.
The Defense Minister emphasized that Pakistan values China's diplomatic and material support in the fight against terrorism. He reaffirmed Islamabad's commitment to ensuring stability and maintaining peace in the region.
In response, Li Qiaoming praised Pakistan's efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the region, as well as the contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
The Commander of the PLA Ground Force is on an official visit to Islamabad. On Monday, he also held meetings with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
