The international business forum “Russia-ASEAN: World of Opportunities” is scheduled for late November in Malaysia, where participants will address strategies for overcoming global challenges and explore collaborative projects between Russia and ASEAN countries, according to a press release from the Roscongress Foundation.
Taking place in Kuala Lumpur on November 26–27, the forum will gather over 250 officials, business leaders, associations, and corporate representatives to discuss the potential for Russia-ASEAN collaboration, as noted in the release. The event's primary focus will be overcoming global challenges and implementing joint initiatives aimed at the socio-economic development of Russia and ASEAN member states. Key areas of discussion will include economic and financial cooperation, energy and chemical industries, transportation, technology, innovation and cybersecurity, as well as science, education, healthcare, tourism, and humanitarian collaboration. A particular emphasis will be placed on agriculture, where participants will explore food security, fertilizer supply chains, and agricultural technology exchanges.
The Roscongress Foundation's projects are dedicated to creating platforms for Russian and international business cooperation. This forum is part of Roscongress's new international initiative, “World of Opportunities,” which grants foreign partners access to Russia’s leading business platforms. “The business program will feature thematic sessions, discussions, and a business dialogue covering a wide range of topics,” said Roscongress head Alexander Stuglev.
Roscongress emphasized that the forum will serve as a vital platform for discussing and showcasing ways to strengthen trade and investment ties between Russia and ASEAN, drawing more than 200 representatives from the public and private sectors, business associations, and government bodies from Russia, Malaysia, and other ASEAN countries.
