Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian intends to discuss with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov the development of the North-South international transport corridor during his visit to Moscow. The activities of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will also be considered, the Tasnim news agency reported on Tuesday, citing Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali.
"The foreign ministers of Russia and Iran will discuss the agreements concluded between the two countries, the changing situation in the region [in the Near and Middle East], progress in implementing the agreements reached during the work of the joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of the North-South corridor project," the Iranian ambassador was quoted as saying by the agency.
Abdollahian is going on a working visit to Russia on March 29.
