Iranian Security Secretary Arrives in Russia

Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, has arrived in Saint Petersburg to participate in a meeting of senior security representatives from BRICS countries. The Iranian embassy in Moscow provided this information.

 

“The Secretary of Supreme National Security Council arrived at Pulkovo Airport today at noon to attend the meeting of high-ranking security officials from BRICS member countries, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday this week in Saint Petersburg,” the embassy's Telegram channel announced.

 

In addition to participating in the BRICS forum, Ahmadian is expected to meet with his Russian counterpart, Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, as well as with representatives from the security agencies of other BRICS member countries.

 

As previously mentioned by Shoigu, the security meeting will include discussions on initiatives related to Ukraine. The meeting is set to take place from September 10 to 12 in Saint Petersburg.
