Israeli Air Force Conducts 14 Air Raids on Southern Lebanon

The Israeli army has escalated its air and artillery strikes against the outposts of the Shiite party "Hezbollah" in southern Lebanon, according to the news portal Lebanon 24.

 

During the day, fighter jets and drones of the Israeli Air Force carried out 14 air raids on Lebanese territory. These strikes resulted in the destruction of 11 houses and damage to 27 others. On January 28, artillery fired at least 150 shells at Lebanon's border areas, causing 25 settlements to come under fire.

 

"Hezbollah admitted to losing three fighters during the day. Among civilians, five people were injured," the report states.

 

Since the beginning of the military escalation in southern Lebanon in October, 39 civilians have been killed in Israeli raids and shelling, while Hezbollah has lost 171 fighters.

 

Earlier, the Shiite formations claimed in their Telegram channel that they had conducted eight operations against Israeli forces. "Enemy positions were hit with rocket and mortar attacks in the settlements of Metula, Ramim, and Hanita," - the bulletin noted. - "Enemy forces were shelled near the barracks in Birket Risha, Ragheb, Tell Shaar, and Yara, as well as at the Khirbet Ma'er artillery base." Casualties among Israeli soldiers were reported, but the exact number was not specified.
