Israeli soldiers shot and killed journalist, Al Jazeera TV reporter Shireen Abu Akleh in the West Bank on Wednesday. This was reported by the TV channel itself, and confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
The ministry particularly informed that Shireen, who was covering a military raid in the Jenin refugee camp, was shot in the head and died. According to the channel, the soldiers used live ammunition.
Al Jazeera noted that the reporter was wearing a special vest marked "press" when she came under fire. It is known that another journalist, Ali al-Samoudi, was also wounded. His condition is assessed by doctors as stable.
