The progress has been reached in the inter-Afghan negotiations in Moscow. The parties intend to continue discussing the key issues regarding the settlement in Afghanistan, including the truce in the framework of that format. It was stated by the spokesman of the radical “Taliban” movement (banned in the Russian Federation) Muhammad Sohail Shaheen.

"We discussed all important issues, and we made some progress, spectacular progress, on some issues and it will continue at our next meetings," he said in particular.

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who also participated in the talks, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the negotiations.

“We had good negotiations and good meetings; we had a joint final statement. We are leaving very, very happy,” he highlighted.

The consultations between the delegations of the conflict parties in Afghanistan took place in Moscow within the Russian-Afghan conference on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Afghanistan.
