Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov believes that Pope Francis has fallen victim to propaganda and the insistence of foreign media, which is why he spoke of the "cruelty" of the Buryats and Chechens.
In an interview with American media, the pope called the Chechens and Buryats "the most cruel part of the Russian troops in Ukraine."
"How can one tell whether the enemy is cheerful, sullen, sentimental, or cruel on the battlefield? And how can one tell by eye the nationality of a Russian soldier in a combined unit when there are more than 190 peoples living in our country?"- Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram channel. - "Of course, the head of the Vatican can't answer that. He has simply become a victim of propaganda and the insistence of foreign media."
The Chechen leader noted that the religious personality of the world should be ashamed of his ignorance of the attitude of Muslims towards their enemy. According to him, the Ukrainian military can tell the pope about the Chechen attitude towards the prisoners, whether it is cruel or not.
Kadyrov specified that there were no alcoholics or drug addicts among Chechen fighters. He added that each of them knows that one must never forget their honor, dignity and respect, even for the enemy.
