The Akhmat Kadyrov regional public fund has sent funds to Kyrgyzstan to fight the coronavirus, the website of the head and government of the region reports.
"Humanitarian cargo worth over 50 million rubles has been delivered to the Central Asian country. The Chechen Republic sent personal protective equipment (PPE) to Kyrgyzstan - coveralls, masks, glasses, visors, as well as medicines. The corresponding decision was made by the regional public fund named after the Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov in connection with the improvement of the epidemiological situation in the region and a large stock of PPE and medicines," the message reads.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 17.8 million people have been infected with the coronavirus in the world, and more than 685 thousand have died. In Russia, according to the Federal operational headquarters for the fight against the coronavirus, 850,870 cases of infection were registered, 650,173 people recovered, and 14,128 died.
