Imangali Tasmagambetov was relieved of his post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation in connection with reaching retirement age. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"By a decree of the Head of State Imangali Tasmagambetov was relieved of his post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation in connection with reaching retirement age," the message reads.
On December 9, Tasmagambetov, as noted, turned 63 years old, which is the retirement age for men in the Republic.
In February 3, 2017 Tasmagambetov got the post of Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia. Over the years, he served as Assistant to the President, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Culture, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, as well as Akim of Atyrau region, Astana and Almaty.
