Kremlin Expresses Concern Over Rising Tensions in the Middle East

23 September

The situation in the Middle East is becoming increasingly tense, which is a cause for concern, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“Undoubtedly, the situation is deteriorating daily. It is rapidly getting worse. Tensions are rising, and unpredictability is growing. This is a matter of our deepest concern,” he said in response to a question about whether Moscow fears an escalation of the conflict between Israel and the Shiite group Hezbollah.
