Kubanychbek Omuraliev of Kyrgyzstan was appointed Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The press service of the Kyrgyz head of state announced this on Friday.
"By the decision of the heads of state of the OTS, the representative of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Kubanychbek Omuraliev was appointed Secretary-General of the OTS," the message reads.
According to the press service, the relevant decision was made during the November 11 summit of the organization in Samarkand.
"Omuraliev previously served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Turkey and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to the State of Israel with residence in Ankara," the report said.
