"Undoubtedly, my first foreign visit to you as president of the Kyrgyz Republic proves the high level of bilateral relations between our countries," Zhaparov said. - "We intend to continue strengthening our strategic partnership and allied relations. First of all, I express my deep gratitude for your support and comprehensive assistance in resolving the political crisis".

 

The president of Kyrgyzstan noted that the republic intends to continue cooperation with the EAEC, CIS, CSTO and SCO. "This is a priority of the foreign policy and economic course of our country," Zhaparov emphasized.

 

The Kyrgyz leader expressed gratitude for support in difficult times related to the pandemic. "I would also like to note that the high efficiency and safety of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus is recognized by the world community. I hope we will also launch a vaccination campaign in the near future," he said.

 

Zhaparov also invited Putin to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.

 

On Tuesday, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health reported that the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus Sputnik V has officially passed the registration procedure in the republic. According to the ministry, the registration of the drug will make it possible to begin vaccinating the population in the near future. As Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev stated earlier, the republic has sent an application to the Russian Federation for a batch of Sputnik V vaccine. The issue of its production on the territory of Kyrgyzstan is being discussed.

 

First foreign visit of the newly elected president


Sadyr Zhaparov, who won the presidential election in Kyrgyzstan on January 10, arrived in Russia on Wednesday in his first foreign visit as the head of state. In addition to talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Zhaparov is scheduled to meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko, and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said. He is also expected to meet with Russia's business community, as well as compatriots and Kyrgyz students studying in Russian universities. Zhaparov's visit will last two days.
