Kyrgyzstan is planning to establish the production of Kamaz trucks on its territory, as well as small trucks similar to the Porter models produced by Korean companies KIA and Hyundai. This information was shared by Yeldos Sagymbayev, the chief specialist of the Industry Department at the Ministry of Economy.
Sagymbayev mentioned that discussions are currently ongoing with Russia as part of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The Kyrgyz company Unaa Kurulush is exploring the possibility of producing small trucks modeled after the Porter series from KIA and Hyundai.
Additionally, there are plans to jointly produce heavy trucks based on the Chinese brand Shacman. An agreement for this collaboration was signed in May 2023.
