Deputies of the Kyrgyz National Parliament resumed work on Thursday after a nearly two-month break. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the republic's highest legislative body.
"Today the regular session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Supreme Council) of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan has started," a representative of the press service said.
According to him, Akylbek Zhaparov, the head of the country's cabinet of ministers, arrived to congratulate the parliamentarians on this occasion.
By law, Kyrgyzstan's elected representatives went on a two-month hiatus as of July 1.
At the end of July, the official website of the Kyrgyz national parliament was attacked by hackers, and it took almost a month to restore it.
