Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu at the latter’s initiative.
The parties discussed the current state of the conflict settlement process in Syria in line with the agreements reached by the presidents of Russia and Turkey during talks in Zhukovsky on August 27 this year.
"Mutual interest in the prompt formation and the beginning of the work of the Constitutional Committee has been confirmed. The parties touched upon matters such as preparations for the upcoming summit of the guarantor countries of the Astana process", the message reads.
